Dr. Roshan P. Morbia was born in Evanston, Illinois and raised on the Gulf Coast in Texas. With a full range of reconstructive plastic surgery treatment expertise, we were happy to welcome Dr. Morbia to Galardi|Bowen|Rosenblum Plastic Surgery in 2018!
Morbia attended the University of Chicago and earned a B.S. with Honors in Mathematics and a B.A. in Biological Sciences, as well as the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. After completing a surgical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas he was accepted into a combined residency in General Surgery as well as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Morbia continued his education under the tutelage of international leaders in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He completed a fellowship in Craniomaxillofacial and Plastic Surgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine in Palo Alto, California, where he served as Clinical Instructor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Mobia specializes in reconstructive plastic surgery of the entire body with a focus on head and neck skin cancer, Mohs surgery as well as an expertise in breast cancer reconstruction.
In his personal life Dr. Morbia loves to study history, economics, philosophy, and politics. He nurses a passion for international surgery and global health, having served on multiple pediatric cleft lip and cleft palate surgical missions with Operation Smile. Founded by William P. Magee and headquartered in Virginia Beach, Dr. Morbia plans to continue his work with the nonprofit cleft condition organization. He is also dedicated to local community service, is an enthusiastic sports fan, and avidly consumes the arts.
